I can’t wait for the end of the day! Day 64

Today was a really tough day for me. We had to climb up to 12 600ft. I met the guys at the top of the pass after having done 12 miles and took a good 10 minutes just lying down before I was willing or able to talk. I was completely shattered. Hiking at 12000ft is no easy job and I kinda wonder if you ever really get used to hiking up that high if you don’t live at such a high altitude.

At lunch I declared I’d do 8 miles more but that I didn’t think I could go much further than that. Party saver wanted to do more miles but AJ stuck with me.

That afternoon was tough again! There was a lot of uphill and battling and post holing in the snow. In the end we managed another 7 miles before calling it quits. I’m so glad the day is over!
